Hajime Sorayama is a legendary artist known in Japan and overseas for
his work dedicated to the pursuit of the beauty of human body and the machine
with an astonishing hyper realistic style. World widely renowned for
the Sexy Robot series (1978), a representation of the woman beauty transposed to
a robot that had a great influence on the perception of the robot image;
he is also known for the design conception of Sony's entertainment robot "AIBO"
(1999) and the cover of Aerosmith's rock album "Just Push Play" (2001). Also,
last year a collaboration with Kim Jones for Dior Men's collection was announced.
As his work embraces multiple themes of contemporary societies like racial barriers,
eternal life, fusion of technology and beauty, artificial intelligence;
in the recent years he has been exposed at various museum and exhibition around
the world such as the "Universe and Art" exhibition (Mori Museum, Tokyo, 2016;
Art Science Museum, Singapore, 2017) and the "Cool Japan" exhibition
